Peer Review
All volumes published in JRAT have to undergo a double-blind peer-review process:
- At first the volumes that are submitted to the RaT-Series are critically examined by the team of editors. This first step is decisive for any further editorial process.
- For the double-blind peer-review two appropriate experts are chosen with the assistance of the highly skilled members of the Editorial Boards.
- Only after both written reviews have approved of publishing the (anonymised) volume (as the case may be with minor or moderate revisions after positively evaluated revision), it is included in the series. In case major revisions are needed, the reviewer might demand to again review the volume. If there is one negative and one positive review, a third review is obtained which then leads to a binding decision. The reviews are sent to the authors in an anonymised form.
- In borderline cases the editorial team reserves any final decision.
